SR-11 record at HF or HQ ?

Hi, being new to this HD world I am trying to get a fell for things. I don't have a 60 inch TV so I can't test this myself but I am wonder at what point (display screen size) I would be able to see a difference in the final product (DVD played on a Blue Ray player). The reason I ask is I am really wondering if I will see much benefit to recording in HD HF(1920x1880/60i) vs HD HQ (1440x1080/60i). I would be using iMovie 08 for my editing. I have read Steve Mullen's ebook on iMovie and see that the footage will be converted to something less than the recorded resolution when it is imported. So would I see much difference in displays less than very big screens?
Thanks in advance for your help in understanding this.
