Panasonic HDC-SD9 A\V output

Can anyone confirm whether you can connect this camera to a TV \ Projector via the A\V output and display on the TV \ projector what you are filming at the same time?

In other words, when you are in filming with a TV \ Projector connected to the A\V, does it display? or does the A\V connection only output when in playback mode?

Thanks
