How to solved : NOISE from Low Light?

Hi,

I'm using HF10 and SD100 at the moment..both of it do presented NOISE when recording at low light condition.

How do you solved the problem other than place lighting system?
thanks!!

You don't.

Cameras need adequate light to record images. Video, film, or otherwise. If you do not give them adequate light, they will always be noisy.

Three options:

1) Both those cameras support 24p. If you're not already shooting in that mode, then switching to 24p may produce slightly better results in low light as the frame rate can go lower (though from a review I saw of the SD100, improved low light performance comes at the expense of unnatrual saturation.)

2) Use a different camera. The HF10 has a single CMOS chip and the SD100 three smaller CMOS chips. CMOS (until recently) hasn't performed as well in low light as CCD cameras, and a camera with a larger sensor will generally do better in low light. Sony and Canon have both just announced new consumer camcorders (about $1,200 US) that they claim perform better in low light (Canon HFS10 and Sony HDR-XR500)

3) Add light!
