AVCHD to M2T with Adobe Media Encoder

Generally converting AVCHD files to an intermediate format (i.e. Cineform via NeoScene) increases the file size almost tenfold. Converting AVCHD (.MTS) files to m2t via Adobe Media Encoder only increases the file size by maybe 50%. Problem is that Avid Media Composer, which normally LOVES m2t files (at least from my Firestore FS4-super fast import times) is rejecting the m2t files I am creating with Adobe ME. Does anyone have workable AME parameters/settings for Avid-friendly m2t files?
