slow motion problem
 

I converted my avchd files to .mov through NeoScene software. I imported the files to Premiere Pro CS3 on a pc and the files play in slow motion. I'm using the Cineform reader on this computer to edit the files.

Any ideas as to what I did wrong?

Uneducated guess to nudge more knowledgeable posters into offering a better opinion <g>: somehow the frame rate was changed over the original filming but without discarding any actual frames? That is, check for accidental frame rate manipulation during the process..

i'm guessing you're right, but I don't see where I have any choices in Neoscene.

What's your original video stream recorded as? For example my Canon HF11 records all its frame rates in a 60i stream.
If I'm not careful with settings when shooting 30p footage recorded to 60i, with a final destination of 30p for the web, the footage will play at half speed.
So I agree it's a setting, either in the conversion, or your editing software's session profile or output profile (possibly having to do with deinterlacing method or final framerate) that may be trying to fit 60 images into a 30 frames per second rate for example.

1) Some of us have had the opposite problem with Panasonic 720P footage: fast playback. Cineform sent us a regfile fix. http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/cineform...iles-help.html So what camera and framerate are your clips?

2) Cineform is very responsive if you file a 'trouble ticket'

3) Your workaround meanwhile is to click on the clips in the project bin in CS3, select 'interpret footage', and reset the framerate to the correct value.
