Need Lanc + S-Video on a CX550V

In my usual world of HDV cameras the Lanc port is no big deal, it's there and does what it's supposed to.
I've just added a nifty little (really little) camera to my arsenal, namely a Sony HDR-CV550v which is quite phenomenal. Beautiful hand held footage (looks nearly as smooth as though a tripod was used).
I have a gig coming up which I bought this camera for (stills / Blu-ray and DVD simultaneously) and I definitely need to use a tripod. There is no Lanc port other than the a/v port which fortunately can do a lanc as well.
Two outfits make a cable which does lanc + composite but for the life of me I can't find a 10 pin sony camcorder cable that does lanc + s-video + audio.
I know s-video is there and if I was able, I'd make the cable myself, alas I don't have the skill.
Any-One know of a pre-made cable or a person who could solder one up? There must be a need beyond my requirements.
Thanks

Hi Bruce,

Are you looking for this Attachment 1282570431?

Yo can buy this adapter here 10-pol. AV/R Kabeladapter - Kabel und Adapter - CC Shop for EUR 90 (it's a German site, so it takes a week to deliver to your place).

Congratulations on your new camera!

The adapter's detail description says (in English):

“This new adapter connects to the 10-pin SONY jack on the camcorder using a right angled 10-pin plug and adapts the signals to LANC (2.5mm jack) and video out (3.5mm jack).

This adapter provides LANC signal as well as video out signal (for connecting an external monitor) at the same time”.

As I can see from the photo, the first (looking from the left to right) connector is S-Video out jack, the second one is LANC.

Good luck Bruce/halfpipe

looks more like an RCA composite and in either case there does not appear to be audio
attached is the one already available but composite / lanc / audio
I'm in need of lanc / s-video / audio

I thought there was one available on eBay, although I'm not sure how it worked, as it was a China product...

I've got the pinouts, it "should" work on the 550, but I'd have to test to confirm. The thing I ran into when "hacking" the AV port was that some things didn't always work as expected, but it should be doable.

I might have a couple hacked Chinese cables that I could build up if you can't find 'em on eBay. There's a limited market, as there are a lot of different ways to wire that AV jack, every one requiring a different configuration... not really amenable to "mass production".
