SDHC Card Recovery

Anyone know of a good low level format utility/byte editor for use with SDHC cards.

Have received an Delkin Devices Class 6 card that was apparently "corrupted" in a Sony camcorder (as evidencd by presence of a ACHHD_BK folder) and then made worse by a partiton recovery program, that has managed to hide the folders that once were visible in a Canon XA10 by probably making it look too much like a PC memory card.

Are you trying to rescue the video clips from the card or reformat the card for reuse?

Re: SDHC Card Recovery

I have a corrupted SD card before in my Canon T3i. All the rescue programs can restore those .mov files but none of those is playable. So I research for programs to fix corrupted movie files instead of rescuing memory card. Here's my report. It might be helpful to you .

Thanks for the link. It speaks to .MOV format.
How about .MTS format files?
Anyone tried MTSRecovery.com's software?

In general .mts is much easier to recover because incomplete and corrupted files still play.

Re: SDHC Card Recovery

Hello,

You may want to try http://mp4repair.org (free, web-based video diagnostics tool)
It will preview your damaged MTS files and give you an option to repair them.
