missing sound between clips

Hi
I've filmed a school production with a Panasonic TM900 and dropped clips in to PC before taking into Premiere (CS5)
When I put clips on timeline I find sound is lost for a fraction of a second between clips.
Is there a reason for this and can it be rectified?
Many Thanks
Norman

P.S. I should add that after initial filming of school I shot continuously for 1 hour throughout production. Its during the one hour filming that camera has automatically started new 'clip' every 22 minutes and it is at this division that sound is missing for a fraction

Re: missing sound between clips

Aha.
Found answer elsewhere on this site.
I should have imported the whole file not just the clips then used media browser to import.
Will apply this in future
