I saw the full length 60 second version of this diamond commercial about a year ago.

[The shortened 30 second version doesn't work as well.]

It's schmaltzy, but what the heck...I will admit that it "moved" me.

If I ever have another opportunity to shoot a wedding video, I will always keep these type of commercials in my mind for inspiration.

Of course, it helps to have a great rendition of the song from Dusty Springfield.

I wasn't able to find the "Dandelions" commercial but I did find "Sleeping Beatuy"

These kinds of commercials are very well done, very cimematic and of course I love using music to tell your story. Its just the story that makes me want to gag.

Yeh, love is all about a bit of bling; a woman only knows she loves you when you give her something worth hundreds or thousands of dollars. A man and woman don't need to communicate, they just have to give each other expensive gifts.

Gifts designed and mass produced by someone else. "Here honey, here's some left over rock from the dirt that some assembly line jammed together based on blueprints sold to other companies all over the world" Ah. That's love.

Not as romantic, of course, as those old blood diamond De Beers ads that suggested if you don't buy a diamond worth at least three months of your salary, you really don't love your spouse at all.

Diamond music shouldn't be something like "I Really Love You". It should be "Money .. that's what I want ..."
