"I Drink Your Milkshake" SNL Skit

I don't usually do these frivolous type posts, but I had to share with someone. . .

Having recently scene and very much appreciated "There Will Be Blood", I was highly amused by last night's SNL, which featured a skit that was supposed to be a show on the Food Network called "I Drink Your Milkshake", where Daniel Plainview -- after explaining that although he's an oil man, he also has another passion: milkshakes-- goes to a different restaurant every week and drinks the customers' milkshakes with a giant straw. I have not laughed that hard in a really long time. I almost barfed. Also some not as funny references to Juno and No Country for Old Men in the same skit. But the TWBB stuff killed me.

I'm sure this will be on youtube, if it isn't already.

Girlfriend who has not seen the movie was left in the dark and simply sat there puzzled the entire time.

Did anyone else see this and like it?

Loved it, plus the other references to Juno sprinkled throughout the show. And Steve Martin, of course!

I didn't get a chance to see last night's episode, but I just checked, yes, it's on youtube. Haven't seen the movie, but still funny stuff.

If you like that, I have another. Brandon Hardesty, the haddly-diddly boodly-diddly guy from that Geico commercial, has been re-enacting scenes from his favorite films for a while now, and was recently featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He was asked to perform material from each of the Best Picture nominees, one of which was There Will Be Blood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iia6S5nqtbY The complete segment, along with a clip from the real film for those uninitiated, can be found at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSXKJBWnw8E

As for Juno related material, I'm a fan of Quotey, myself.

Okay, that's also pretty funny. Kind of a spoiler for anyone watching Jimmy Kimmel that hasn't seen the movie, though. . .
