Anyone seen "Electric Heart"?

It was released in 2007 into (apparently very) limited distribution. I only learned of its existence last weekend after I stumbled across some music by Don Ellis buried within my iPod.

For those not familiar, Don Ellis was an inspired and brilliant jazz composer, band leader and quarter tone trumpet player. His public career began back in the late 60s and continued until his untimely death in 1978 at the age of only 44. If you've not heard him play and you're a jazz fan, you're missing something wonderful and unique.

I saw him three times in the late 60s and early 70s in San Francisco. The first time was at the Fillmore West, wedged in between two psychedelic bands that have long faded from memory. I was blown away.

I'm curious if anyone's seen it as the DVD will apparently be released next month and before I plunk down whatever it might cost, I'd be interested in any reviews.

If you're interested in the film, you can learn more here: Electric Heart

DISCLOSURE: I am not associated with this project in any way shape or form. Damn.
