I think Robert Downey, Jr. deserves an Oscar nod for Iron Man

I think even though his performance is adequate, it's not oscar caliber. the notion about his drug/alcohol addiction as basis for such nomination is just silly. so finally he (at least for now it looks like) has his act together, so what?
anyway imo Jeff Bridges did much, much better as a "bad guy", though not as good as Heath Ledger in "Dark Knight"

I'm not saying he didn't a good job,

But I think RDJ literally found a movie where he could just play himself.

That doesn't necessarily mean its award-worthy.

There were dozens and dozens of better performances this year.

Great film. Terrific effects and action. Catchy script. Terrific performance by RDJ - Oscar worthy??? No.

RDJ deserves an Oscar for Tropic Thunder if for anything!

Bridges was excellent as Stane, especially near the end, when he

took Tony's heart/power out. Great acting, writing, direction, camera, sound, etc. All excellent!

hahaha, Tropic Thunder definitely!

Now I didn't say because he used that he deserves an award--I just said that Hollywood loves the comeback kid. And RDJ definitely is that.

But it looks like RDJ got the Golden Globe nom for Tropic Thunder.

Oh I LOVE that he appears to be getting his act together. God Bless 'm. He's a suprememly talented actor. Two of his films in particular are noteworthy. CHAPLIN an the often overlooked RESTORATION in particular.

He was great in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang too.

I loved Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Great, great film!
