I think I'll queue up "Patton" this evening. |
On The Waterfront for me. What a rich life he had: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_malden

Both of those movies were AMAZING. I have been waiting to buy my BluRay player so I can buy Patton. I refuse to buy any more SD DVDs.

More appropriately discussed via separate thread, but in my opinion standard definition DVDs look great when properly scaled by an up-converting HDTV or Blu-Ray player. Especially black and white classics such as Waterfront -- no complaints here. Meanwhile, I've noticed $125 BR players are now hitting the shelves.
Think I'll go throw in Patton in honor of Karl. |
I'll throw my hat in for Birdman of Alcatraz. One of my all time favourites...Although he wasn't lead actor, the Cinematography was top notch...
Known as the hardest working actor. RIP Sekulovic.... |
It's Patton for me, too. I liked him as Gen. Bradley. "George, I think if you were named Admiral of the Turkish navy, your aides could dip into their haversacks and come up with the appropriate badges of rank."
Ninety-seven. What a good, long life. |
Streetcar named Desire, PAtton, Birdman, On the Waterfront, plus SOOO many more. Great everyman actor. Don't forget the TV series, "The Streets of San Francisco" with a very young Michael Douglas.
He lived a long full life. |
