King Kong video stuff done in HDV!

http://img-nex.kongisking.net/kong/m...x270-mpeg4.mov

This hilarious video shows the FX1 and maybe even the HD10--it's hard to tell.

Yup, I brought this up in the FX1/Z1 forum a few days ago...

It's definately cool to see them in use. I guess we'll have some fairly definitive answer as to how this looks when downconverted to DVD, when the Kong DVD comes out.

Great, now if only someone could those using the cameras how to use manual exposure. Someone wrote a while ago that with the HDV cams we could be seeing the end of manual features - well, not exposure if these clips are anything to judge by!

Well, I wasn't sure what to make of the quality, given the fact that they're way over compressed with MPEG-4. That's why I figured I'd wait until the DVD to make an assement.

We'll probably get native HDV clips from that. Whatever flavor of hi def DVDs Universal eventually goes with.

I like how the editor uses "sunk" as the past tense of "synch."

Have to say I use "sunk" the same way, sometimes if I'm not careful, "sunked", but that's my Norfolk heritage creeping in. I think it might be a British/Commonwealth thing. Most people I know say "sunk".

"sinked" just doesn't sound right...
