2006 Superbowl Spots: View them here!
 
As of this post, you can view all of the 2006 super bowl spots at the link below. Some of my favorites were all of the Bud spots but especially the magic fridge, prehistoric Fed Ex and the Careerbuilder monkies & jackasses. :O

I liked the Budweiser with the young Clydesdale pulling the wagon out of the barn...then you see the adult horses pushing the wagon from the back. But the little guy really thought he was 'getting it done'.

There was a new, even more endearing spot with Sabine. But, you didn't mention it, so I guess you have gotten past all that.

I thought the commercials were at an all-time low-----not any more interesting than that miserable game. The two division playoffs were far better than this sleepwalk. I actually did fall asleep at one point. Remember the 1989 3-D Pepsi runaway vending machine spot? It's been downhill since then. Even the halftime shows are declining. Just a bunch of wasted, doddering old men, repeating 40-year old songs. I play back that 3-D halftime extravaganza from '89 every year, just to remember how things once were. Can the fall of the Western Empire be far behind?

What spot was Sabine in?

I don't really like to watch football or any sports because I really want to watch them. I mean, I may watch games in football or baseball that are close calls as to who the winner will be or because I'm around others who may be watching but that's about it. I do, however, really like watching NFL Films shows because they add all that drama with slow motion and narration and create a story. I saw part of the pre-game show and had to turn the channel after that trainwreck of an attempt to sing the national anthem. I didn't watch the game but I found these spots on this site and was able to skip through the bad ones and there were plenty of those. You are right about things not being the same. Who approves this stuff?

Sabine was very close and cozy and was assuring us that the "Big O" would meet our every need-----well, not quite every one, as her smile was implying. I saw this spot in the 2nd half, but since I was sleeping during part of the game, it might have appeared earlier also.

Does anyone else still have a recording of that 1989 Superbowl 3-D halftime show and the Pepsi commercial? What was the name of the company that developed that 3-D system and what became of it? It depended on motion and delayed processing of one eye's vision, for the 3-D effect. Some turkey borrowed my tape and "lost" the special viewing glasses and I've never been able to find a replacement.
