Development of a RAW to Cineform Raw GUI Including Sound

I just contributed to this developer who is writing a stand alone conversion utility for Raw to Cineform raw, including merging sound into the Cineform raw file.

Chris, in my testing, Cineform RAW looked significantly noisier than a "clean" workflow with TIFFs. It's probably fine for normal editing. It might be an issue for significant grading. It was too noisy for our green screen work.

Have you seen similar results? Has Cineform RAW been improved over the past few months?

The real benefit of Cineform RAW is that it makes for a very fast and simple workflow. That shouldn't be overlooked. Often speed trumps top quality.

Obviously noise is subjective to the user. I shot this one with the BMCC EFm raw, then converted in Studio to Cineform. Had to manually match the audio.

The IndieGoGo attempt to fund the project did not go, but Alex tried the KickStarter route this time. Please contribute as the time is growing short !!

Does this GUI work with the (nonlossy) compressed BMPC RAW files? No indication on the web site.

I am interested because of the audio merging in particular; it really solves a big workflow headache.
