camera mounting for BMD Hyperdeck 2

I am really getting stuck from how to mount my Hyperdeck 2 to my XL H1 and EX1. Is there any customized or universal mounting for this device?

Much appreciated

Yeah I know there are plates. What I wonder is how to attach this plate to cameras. There must be the third party to mount them together.

The Hyperdeck Shuttle mounting plate replaces the existing back plate, which is held on by screws. It takes all of a minute to make the change. After that, need either an articulating arm or or a tripod clamp to mount the Shuttle either to the tripod or to a clamp that attaches to the camera. The Hyperdeck Shuttle is smallish, but it is a bit heavy/ unwieldy to just attach to a camera for run and gun situations. Further, if you decide on an HDMI connection to the camera, HDMI connectors have a tendency to work themselves loose.

There is another one i know at least. Its by "Geardear.com" a German Manufacturer. Ive made good experiences. Their stuff is really lightweight. Bought the Mattebox and a Lens Support once.

Don't overlook the simple.

I build most of my own stuff anyway, and with my 'VG20 and or HV30, I actually have a shoulder mount that made. that I have just added a strip of Velcro to and to the back of Shuttle Hyperdeck. Ugly but it actually works quite well. See photo below.

I bought the plate for the $100. It has several holes on the bottom that you can use to mount with. I have a DLSR rig from Lanparte that came with a few single rail mount screws, so I screw it on the bottom of the plate, then slide it over one of the rails and tighten it down. That works for rails setups. Without a rails setup, you'd need some sort of bracket with extra threaded slots and like some others said, some sort of arm or something to mount it. As the other poster showed, using it on a shoulder rig could help as well.

As for the HDMI issue, there is a way to solve that for most cameras, get one of those locking mechanisms, where you put a base plate that is L shaped that has a spot you insert an L hdmi connector, then you tighten the bracket down on the connector so it's in tight, then attach the cord to the L connector. Or you can do something similar where you make your own cheap bracket, plug your cable in, and tighten down around the cord so it doesn't come loose.

Solutions for everything and then some.

I have made this cradle for my HDW-750P, and it will fit any v-mount battery camera or accessory.
I lined it with some rubber matting I got as packing with a laptop lithium power supply so it is nicely shielded from vibration.
My one regret is that I have to unclip it from the camera to remove the SSD so if I was to make another I would hinge the lid on the other side. In a way it prevents anyone nicking the SSD I suppose.
If anyone has any questions I would be pleased to answer them.

That's great, Neil!

There's a machined version of your creation for sale here: Bracket 1 Cradle Mount for Blackmagic HyperDeck Shuttle VISLBMSC

But I still had to tap my own holes in it to get it to fit the Zacuto Zwiss plate. So irritating how the have all those holes, yet none of them seem to fit anything.
