Which BD burners & players burn to DVD media?
 

Is there a list somewhere of the Blue-ray burners that will burn HD formats to DVD+-R media from Vegas? And for which formats? Or will all current BD burners burn HD to DVD+-R media?

Similarly, which BD players will play HD from DVD media? All? Which formats? This hasn't been obvious for me in looking through player brochures/specs.

I'm pretty sure,with vegas pro 8,you can burn blu-ray to standard dvd using a standard burner,which will play back on a blu-ray player only,not a standard dvd player.
Although you can only get around 30 mins on a standard dvd.
I think you only need a BD burner to burn BD discs.
