Canon will be bringing out all the Cinema EOS products, zoom lenses, prime lenses, & cameras, to Portland Oregon on February 26th. There will 6 Canon engineers on hand to answer your most technical questions. This will be a full scale shoot out with models, set, lighting, monitors and more. There won't be another shootout of this scale in Portland or Seattle this year. Plus Canon will be sponsoring a 2 hour hands on workshop on maximizing your production, choosing the right camera, the right lens, and the right workflow. The shootout is on the floor, yes?

I don't see the 2-hour hands-on in the current schedule, when will that take place?

Yes, the shoot out will be on the primary floor. We'll actually have over 30 cameras from Canon, Sony, Panasonic, JVC, and Blackmagic Design there. The 2-hour Canon workshop will be in two halves, part 1 from 11:30am-12:30pm and part 2 from 3:30pm-4:30pm. There will be some other great workshops in-between. Thanks.

Eric, will a GH4 be part of the camera shootout? If not you need to beg to get one there as everybody will want to see how it compares.

Thats a great point, about the GH4. I think there will be hot interest in it. Panasonic hasn't fully announced what cameras they will be showing. I did speak with a Panasonic representative the other day who definitely acknowledged that it was a possibility. Fingers crossed.
