Mixing lens brands
 

Am curious if there is any apparent difference in mixing lens brands when shooting video? I know in shooting stills I shoot Canon glass and try not to use other brands, such as Sigma or Zeiss in that there is ever so slightly a color shift that I need to correct and makes more work when on deadline.

Has anyone found this to be true with video? Am acquiring a Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 for my c100 and am thinking of either adding a Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 or the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8. Naturally, it would be nice to have two f/2.8 lenses, but not if I have to spend extra time color correcting. I plan to use these lenses only with the c100.

So this is why I ask. I generally shoot in wide dr for flat results and only do minimal toning and sharpening for online videos. Thanks ahead of time for anyone's input.

I find my Canon glass is a bit warmer than my Zeiss glass. Canon enjoys the red channel more than most camera and lens manufacturers.

Dialing in the white balance shift can help correct this in camera.

Thank you for your response. I had a Zeiss 50 that I found was a bit more yellow than my Canon gear, at least for stills. As noted in another post, I am foregoing the mixing of brands, returning a Sigma lens I purchased and acquiring a Canon. Thanks for your time and consideration.
