C100 workflow questions

Hi all- just picked up my new C100 yesterday. First off, coming from shooting weddings with a 6D and an XF100, I'm blown away by the detail in the pictures and the quality of the noise at elevated ISO levels. Can't wait to use this thing. I edit in Premier, and I have some questions about my workflow.

In the past with the DSLR, my workflow was basically just dump all the files and work directly with them, since Premier can easily handle AVCHD files without any transcoding. I know that I can do that with the C100 too, but I want to shoot in either WD or Cinema color profile to help with my color correction to match the 6D without a lot of extra workflow steps. In order to maintain the best picture quality, should I:

- Simply apply my color correction layer on top of my C100 files right in Premier?
or:
- Import and transcode the C100 files to an intermediate codec before applying any color correction? (what should I transcode to if I don't have ProRes, and can someone recommend a good tool to work with the C100). I have the entire CC suite, so Prelude and Speedgrade as well.

I'm not very familiar with LUTs and not very advanced with color correction, so simpler and faster workflows are best for me.

Thanks.
