C100 MkII - How can I lower contrast on EOS profile?

The EOS profile on the C100 MkII is very contrasty. Very 'black' looking.

Is there an adjustment that I can use to lower the overall contrast?

Master Pedestal is the blacks, right? I tried lowering this -10 steps and it's a little better. Is this enough for an overall CONTRAST reduction?

For example..with the 5D Mk III there is a 'contrast' setting in the profile that I lower and the picture looks the way I like it.. With the C100 this doesn't seem to be so easy which is why I'm asking in the forum here..

So to do a 'general' contrast reduction of the C100 MkII is there anything else I need to change other than Master Pedestal?

Thanks..

There's a "custom picture" button on the side of the camera. It gives you a vast amount of control over the image, though I don't believe there's a simple contrast adjustment.

You probably want to switch to another profile which uses a different, less-contrasty gamma curve. I think you'll like most or all of the other options more than the EOS standard profile. Other contrast curves (gammas) include Video 1-4, Cine 1 & 2, log, and WideDR.

For matching to a Canon DSLR, I'd start with WideDR on the C100 and a profile other than "standard" on your DSLR.

You can read up on the custom picture menu in the manual: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/p...s-c100-mark-ii
