My rig (wip)

Hey guys, here is my 7D rig in progress... waiting for a z-finder and a Manhattan LCD... then, just a redrock counterweight, Sony PCM recorder (for sound), and I am set... very excited!

Nice setup. Could you please elaborate a bit more about each part included in that kit?

Redrock follow focus, Noga arm, Cavision mattebox and rod system (designed for XL2, but been using it on my redrock) which is turned backwards and offset to avoid short-lens clearance issues. The noga arm has been welded into a hand-grip bracket made by Cavision so I can get it off camera to the side for hand held. Hand grips are also Cavision and the quickrelease between rods and camera is Manfrotto (for 516 head).

Infact, I made it pretty much entirely out of pieces from this...

Just can't use the SWIT monitor cause it's only component...

I need to grab an 8.4" Manhattan LCD screen (is 4:3 but still 1024x768 so image will ONLY be letter boxed, not pillar boxed and quite high-res) and a z-finder for tighter spaces. I also need a counter-balance weight for handheld, and one more quickrelease for the bottom (to tripod)

Oh, and lenses are Nikon with KAWA adapter...
