hd fury 2 hdmi-component question Nick hiltgen

I've been using the Fury HD 2 to connect the hdmi from my 7D to the component ins on my Swit monitor. It works fine, but needs ac power. Is there anyone who can tell me how to rig a battery power supply for the Fury. I'm not great with that kind of fabrication, but I have a friend who can do it as long as I can tell him how.
Nick Hiltgen- You said you did something similar. Could you elaborate?
Thanks

Hey Bruce sorry about the delay in response. I did something similar with an hdmi splitter. It's fairly straight forward but a little scary. The way I did it was find out the voltage that the splitter pulls (in this case it was 5v 1a or something) now if you're brave/stupid like me you can just go to frys or radioshack or monoprice, and pick up a quad aa battery holder with two wires out (positive and negative) from there I cut off the end of the ac cable and applied the correct positive and negative leads to the corresponding wires.

Of course my splitter was pretty cheap and do it was completely at my own risk. But if you're semi handi with dome wire strippers or an exacto knife you should be able to pull off something similar but uh I'm no electrical engineer so please don't be mad at mr if you blow something up!
