Getting Video to Computer

Hey guys,

Are you guys using an SD Card Reader and getting your video like that or am I missing something totally obvious.

If so any card readers to recommend?

Cheers
Jason

I use a Lexar CF reader firewire 800 and I can transfer a 32 gig UDMA card in around 20 minutes, like it a lot.

Cheers Khoi.

Do you know if using one with a USB interface makes much difference? I won't huge amounts of video its more of a hobby for me at the moment.

Cheers
Jason

It is slower than firewire 800 but it also depend on your card, the faster your UDMA card the faster in transfer.

I cannot find SD card reader to 800 firewire interface, only CF card readers. T2i uses SD, SDHC and SDXC cards. If anyone can find SD card reader to go to firewire 800 connector, let me know.

Oh sorry I was using it for my 7D, on my T2i I use a USB reader and it is just a little slower.

Any $20- USB 2.0 reader will likely do the job well, especially given the much slower speed of SDHC or SDXC cards compared to CF.
