CF card cant be read nor formatted
 

HI

I dont know how to fix my cf card. When I insert it to either the card reader or built reader from my pc, it says, : it has to be reformatted. Then when I go try to format it, it gives me an error saynig I cant format the cf card.

I didnt eject the card properly.

would there be a chance that it is totally busted now?

Does the camera read the card? If so, then it's probably the card reader. Older readers won't read the newer UDMA cards.

Try formatting the card inside the camera, from the camera system menu.

I also tried that, and it is not being read by the camera as well.
So, either pc and camera cant read the card.

A Mate of mine had a Hama 32Gig card that did the same thing. He had to send it back for a replacement. It just wouldn't read or format.
