Slow Motion on a 1920 X 1080 FCP Timeline

Shooting with a 7D at 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps using cinema tools you could conform the clip to 24 fps and slow down the motion by 20% with no loss of resolution. Seeing that the 7D only shoots 1920 x 1080 at 30 & 24 FPS is there a workflow that will allow more overcranking and maintain a high resolution?

It would seem to me that if the clip was shot at 1280 x 720 @ 60fps that the resolution would suffer and be noticeable when played alongside neighboring 1920 x 1080 rushes.

Of course one could change the clips speed in the timeline by any given percentage but that results in loss of quality.

Thanks
Kent
