Exposure compesation: why isn't it works in M mode ?

Hello,

I would like to know why the exposure compensation is not working in M mode, just only at Av, Tv, P modes.

Is is means if I want to controlt how light or dark image / video I want, i can only use the shutter, aperture, iso settings only?

Then what If is select 1/100 in video the make the correct exposure ? It breaks the ideal 25 fps for 1/50 shutter speed agreement,

Exposure compensation tells the camera how many stops above or below proper metered exposure you want the image to be, so it can automatically adjust the non-manual settings appropriately. In M (Manual) mode, everything is manually controlled, so nothing is being adjusted automatically and exposure compensation is pointless (if you want an image 2 stops underexposed, you don't need to tell the camera, you just do it yourself!)

So for 25fps capture, if you want the 1/50 shutter speed, you would keep the shutter at 1/50 and adjust the other settings of the camera for proper exposure. Tv mode would do the same thing anyway since it is Shutter Priority mode. This is why the Fader ND filters are so popular, because they allow you to keep ISO, shutter, aperture the same and have another level of exposure control external to the camera.
