Canon XL-1 Lens on a 550D body?!?! at DVinfo.net

Hi all,

I have a canon XL-1 and wandering if the lens would work in a 550D (if such adapter exist)? I understand the auto focus would probably not work but just want to know if I could at least be able to use that lens manually (got good range of 5.5-88mm).

Any help appreciated.

No - that lens is made for much smaller chips than the 550. Even if you could adapt it somehow you'd only get a small circlular image in the center of the frame.
