thoughts on interview setup Zoom H1 + mic

Just picked up the Zoom H1 and soon I'll be using it to record a short interview. I also have the Audio Technica ATR wired mic and also the Azden WMS Pro wireless mic. So I'm just wondering what is a good way to setup for a interview. Here are some of my thoughts, I'm still sorta new so any advice/thoughts would help.

Zoom H1 + ATR wired mic
Surprisingly good sound quality. So I would imagine the Zoom H1 + ATR wired mic will be in the pockets (or lap) of my interviewee but ideally I would want to monitor the audio when recording. Or I can simply hook my interviewee with the ATR and have my Zoom H1 on my t2i's hotshoe, that way I can monitor the audio but the wireless system aspect is gone. Not a huge deal but the wires between your subject and cam are sometimes annoying to deal with depending on the situation.

Zoom H1 + Azden WMS Pro Wireless
This was my ideal setup. The H1 and Receiver would be on a bracket with my t2i and the transmitter/mic with my interviewee. I can monitor the sound and my interviewee can be mobile if needed. But the sound quality isn't as good as the ATR and the levels are much lower, even if I set the H1 to level 100 the audio will still sound really soft. Maybe I can duplicate the left channel in post, will that help?

I'm sorry, I really can't help you with what you're trying to do . I'm actually replying in hopes that you may be able to give me some advice. I recently purchased one of these recorders and I have been asked by B&H to give a review. I don't know how to test the audio. Any suggestions?

It's okay. But what do you mean you don't know how to test the audio? Record using the stereo mic on the H1 or use the Line in with a external mic. Playback on a computer via usb wire.
