720P24 or 30

Is there any way to get 24 or 30 FPS out of the T2i? I'd want it to save card space and It's easier to work with than 1080p footage. Will magic lantern have it or another firmware hack?

In my opinion aliasing is appalling at 720p, you will see it on everything, in grass, on peoples shoulders, any off horizontal edge, and thus it should be absolutely avoided unless you want slow motion.

Solution, bigger memory cards. A 32gig will give you about 1.5hrs, similar to a DV tape in LP mode.

If computer power for editing is a big issue and your not prepared to invest in something better, perhaps just try converting it to 720p on your computer before editing. Most software interpolates rather then simply dropping lines like the camera do, so it might give better results. (so long as it doesn't compress the codec to much and result in blocking etc)

That's great information and I'm sure it will help somebody, but you never answered my original question. You just listed why you don't like 720p.
