Thanks Bryan ! for this link, great information !

But I want somebody who has had experience with the
60D, just to see if this will be my first DSLR camera.

Thanks

The 60D hasn't been out long, but I'm sure someone here is using it for weddings (or will be soon).

In terms of using the camera, though, it'll be a very similar experience to either the T2i or the 7D, but with a few minor differences (manual audio, a flip-out LCD screen, etc.). Most of the issues/solutions will be the same among these cameras, so I wouldn't rule out reading about all of them!

I have used on several weddings, and actually used as main camera during bridal prep last wedding, and I really liked it. I posted my camera gear setup video, and has a couple of footage there.
my next wedding film trailer will have tons more shots with 60D.
hope that helps.

Do you find that you no longer need a LCDVF or other viewfinder on the 60D, now that it has the swing out LCD?
I guess for the outdoor shots at least.

I just bought the 60D this week and tomorrow is my first wedding with it. I plan on using it as my main camera over the 7D because of the viewfinder and the buttons seem to be a lot easier to manuever. On the 7D, I always shoot in manuel mode, but the dial somehow always ends up on "B". With the 60D, the dial is locked in place.

Hey J.J. KIM thanks for this video !

Michael I will wate for your report about
de 60D on your next wedding !!

Thanks

just posted a new wedding film trailer that 70% of shots were done by 60D.
totally love the camera.
SD card stinks, but swivel LCD and image quality makes up for it.
Will do the same thing tomorrow (shooting most of bride prep with 60D).

J.J.Kim where is the link to see the video?

Tom Hardwick November 7th, 2010 11:05 AM

Why does the SD card stink, JJ? Because you've invested in a lot of CF cards or for some technical reason?

Nicholas de Kock November 7th, 2010 04:42 PM

I would also like to hear why you think SD cards "stinks" besides the investment? CF cards cost almost 50% more.

Hey !! great mini trailer ! now I am getting ready to by this camera ! a few more
videos and bingo this is my next camera.. By the way BH offer $100 less then
original price ! only to november 24 !

J.J. Kim November 7th, 2010 08:42 PM

sorry. I didn't want to crowd up the thread with my video embeded.
Well, SD card is small --> easy to lose, easy to break, little plastic pins get broken time to time.
Also CF card has 60mb/s speed, whereas same speed in SD is very expensive.
Hope that helps.
btw, I love my 60D. I am getting a couple more SD card (16GB) so I can shoot even more!
