LCD-EVF options for in-line shoulder rigs?

Having just spent two weeks shooting mostly with my shoulder rig, the biggest change I want to make is to get the 7D and 5D in-line with my shoulder, like most dedicated video cams. I shoot mostly on tripod but the size of the DSLR's gives me the urge to be mobile, but the obstacle is the ergonomics - which on my intense 14-day shoot became unbearable. Having the 7D offset from my shoulder with in-line viewfinder is not the way to go.

So I would like a round-up of what everyone is either doing right now or looking at in the future. Until EVF's become available is the only option an offset 5 or 7inch display on an arm? Then you need a big shade over this. Is the Zacuto and Redrock EVF the future - and when is that?

I use a Cavision rails system but with an added watkinsphotools.co L-bracket/handle. The base plate of the L bracket has three mounting holes, so I can mount the camera offset to the left a little. Helps a lot. The ideal solution will, I think, be the Redrock EVF whenever it arrives.
