Canon DSLR Meter Mode for Video

Hi guys,

What is the default metering mode for Video for the following cameras in VIDEO mode.

1. Canon 5D
2. Canon 7D
3. Canon T2i

Thanks,

T

** PS - I understand and can change modes in fully Manual - Still photos.... A bit challenged on the Video Mode side.

Re: Canon DSLR Meter Mode for Video

There's no choice of metering, it looks like a plain old "averaging" metering.

Canon call it evaluative metering & it is indeed the only mode available in Video mode whereas for stills spot metering can be used.
