Re: Canon various picture styles

I've come to hate neutral because its really not. it can do some whacky things to skin tones and getting them back can be a big hassle.

if you want to see a run thru of various settings in high contrast

Does Shooting Flat Gain You More Dynamic Range ?

Great test Steve! I'm one of the few people who try to achieve the sought after look in camera, as I just don't think that you can really get a great grade from these cameras (and the fact that it adds precious time in turn around).

If you have one, and wouldn't mind sharing, what would be your fav, most dynamic range recipe not using neutral as a base?

I really like the Cineplus Cinema profile. I'm currently doing a wedding with the profile and can post when I have something...

Thanks for the link Tim... but $17 is too rich for my blood. My wife only let's me spend $5 a week on camera stuff...

Here's what Philip Bloom uses:
Marvels Cine for Canon HDSLR Marvelsfilm’s Blog

Best of all, it's free.

t tend to mostly use standard of all settings as it seems to gee the most even rgb values
