Possible to recover video file saved as .dat

While shooting a wedding recently, I had one of my 60Ds say couldn't save file when it reached the card full point. It had over 3gb of data on it. When I transferred the files to my computer it saved the file as a .mov with 0bytes and a .dat file with 3.76gb. Is there anyway to recover anything from it?
