UK 70D with no 1/50th?

I have the UK Canon 70D and am just setting up to cover some video, but no matter what settings, I can't set to 1/50th sec? Lowest that shows in manual in 1/60th - Any clues anyone?

I found this note on Imaging-Resource:

"The 70D limits the minimum shutter speed depending on the frame rate. For 30p/25p/24p, users are limited to 1/30th of a second. For 60p and 50p video, you are limited to 1/60th of a second."

Hope this helps although I'm sure it's not what you wanted to hear.

Thanks Jay! I see many YT users are getting the 1/50th setting, so thought I might be missing something.

Standard practice is a so-called 180-degree shutter, or, expose at half the frame rate.
25fps = 1/50th
50fps = 1/100th

Slower shutter speeds look a little blurrier in areas of motion. Faster look less blurrier. Some motion blur is normal.

I don't have a UK 70D, but I'd guess that you'd be hard pressed to see the difference between 1/50th and 1/60th at 25fps.

Cheers Seth.Just trying to get the best video I can and just bemused why, when other uk users get 1/50th, mine won't :)
