yea, i'm as much looking forward to the still images as the video. I also can't wait to shoot 21mpx timelapse on it... imagine the panning you can do at 1080p

Looking at the manual, you (and I) will want the TC-80N3 or equivalent.

With a quick search I found it new for $135. You can probably do better, or go with a 3rd party product for $80 or so.

I think I'll like using Vegas for editing stills, you can enter a standard duration time for each photo, drag a heap on the timeline, and it will place them back to back, based on alphabetical order.

Regarding technique, for moving subjects, like crowds, one could use an exposure time of 1/2 the time lapse duration (and a stack of ND filters) for natural motion blur. However, with slow moving clouds and panning, a shorter duration could be used, applying directional blur in post.

Best of all, you can make the output a perfect 24p, 25p or whatever you want. ;)

yea, already ordered one of those, plus nikon lenses, adapter and memory cards... all I need now is the camera!

btw - you can do a similar thing in after effects. Just click the 1st jpg (or raw) file and tick the checkbox "import as sequence". With raw... you can adjust your settings for the 1st raw image and it will bring in all the raw files with those settings too.

Hopefully the flicker on the timelaspe wont be as bad as on the nikons I have used. Sky/clouds can get pretty bad.
