A Bike Ride on the Croisette

I am in Cannes in the south of France working on an assignment. I took one of the Yahoo! "purple pedals" cruiser bikes for a ride today. I rode from one end of the main Cannes beach to the other along the promenade also known as the Croisette.

I filmed this ride with my 5D Mark II, which was no mean feat because I had to hold it with one hand whilst navigating with the other. But I must say, it worked out pretty well.

If you have 9 minutes in your attention span quota for the day, give 'er a look-see. See if you agree that it's an interesting snapshot of life in a high-end French resort town.

No bystanders (or I) were injured during the making of this film. Thanks for watching!

Aack. Sorry about that. I guess Vimeo requires to set videos to "public" now. I just did that.

For another view of the Croisette (which is only about 15 minutes drive from where we live) here is some footage that my wife & I shot on our 5DIIs during the Cannes Film Festival a few weeks ago.
