25p record but 1080i hdmi output?

So I may want to show a client some rushes and i hook up my 5dmkII
to either our 50" pana plasma or our 37" pana lcd and they both say the format being output from the new 2.00.4 firmware is 1080i when the rushes are in 1920x1080 25P [P for progressive]so even with my carefully controlled pans with sooting 25p the 1080i output to review is awful.
Am I missing something here after waiting for 25p support with this camera or will ML be able to let me review progressively?

I believe that the output format is correct. The camera ouputs the progressive files in an interlaced stream. I am sure that theres is nothing to worry about there. It provides the widest compatbility that way I think.

Perhaps pan even slower or make sure that the shutter speed is 50.

I view 24p footage from my HFS10 camcorder and the 5D and the footage looks as it should whether output from my camcorders ( interlaced) or from the HDMI port of my laptop ( progressive).

Sorry I cannot be much more help.
