Anybody convert to Mpeg2 for CS4 editing?

So I used Adobe Media Encoder to convert my 5D footage to a Full HD Mpeg2 and it looks and plays great. I can't see a quality difference.

Does anybody see any problems with this? Any of you ever tried it?

Thanks much

With MPEG-2 coded for Blu-ray (not Adobe's encoder), it looks great, except where there is lots of motion near abrupt scene changes. I've gotten lots of block artifacts for a few frames. That said, if you have a way of forcing an I-frame on transitions, you can avoid those problems.

Thanks Jon,

Here's what I don't get,
When I shoot with my Canon XH A1s, Premiere Pro captures that footage as Mpeg2 and they look, play, edit and output with no problems at all. So how is this different?
