focusing aid

Hi all,

i am currently using my 5dmkii handheld for both photos and short clips.
when doing clips, focusing is quite annoying - what form of focusing aid (mechanical of course) there is for that purpose ?
i dont mind having the camera mounted on some sort of rail/mount and then the accessory for focusing on it.

thanks !!

Re: focusing aid

There are many follow focus systems available. I use Cavision:
Canon 5D Mark II Accessories
I have their rails and follow focus system, but use a Hoodman LCD viewer, which has an adjustable diopter.

Check B&H for prices, or email Cavision for a price list.

Don't you find it the weirdest thing that Cavision expect you to email them for a price list? They are obviously making so much money that they can't be bothered to be helpful to their customers. It's like people who put a 'For Sale' sign on their car with just a telephone number. Do they realise how many potential buyers they are putting off by not listing a price?
