Files Names

Hi All,

I have just returned from a shoot and used 2 SD Cards to capture video.
The file names on both memory cards are identical and I have never come across this before, it's quite scary.

e.g. 2E6B9947.MOV (totally different footage on both memory cards but both named the same)

Both SD Cards were formatted before hand and I am using SanDisk Extreme cards.

Is there a correct way that the names should be set up?

Thanks

Re: Files Names

I think there is a setting in the menu that will allow you to choose how to handle the file names. If you choose "Continuous", I believe each file will have a unique name. If you use "Automatic", I think it resets every time you swap cards... which is what gives you the duplicate names.
This setting should be on the same page with the "Format" commands...

Re: Files Names

I normally use "Manual" which starts at 0000 and keeps going till you reset it. This way every job starts at 0 and continues until I reset it...
