Magic Lantern memory card doubt

Hi guys,

I want to install Magic Lantern on my MarkII and while reading the FAQ section their website I´ve that "Magic Lantern runs from the card, as an add-on over standard firmware". So I have 2 doubts:
1 - Whenever I shoot an entire day (which will mean I will have to use different memory cards) I will need to have ML on ALL cards?
2 - I also have a NEX7 as a travel camera and it generates several folders on the memory cards. Can this somehow interfere on running ML if I use the same cards on both cameras?

Re: Magic Lantern memory card doubt

1 - Yes, all cards to be used will need to have ML copied on to them.

2 - Don't know. That's unconventional; I'd be formatting the card in the camera. In the Canon camera ML will be preserved during the format. In the NEX7 it will be gone. So, that would be a problem if you're using both cams on a shoot and wanting to trade cards.

If you're not formatting the cards in camera I really don't know, maybe the NEX7 won't care about the ML files, maybe it will.

OTOH, if you're not using the cams on the same shoot, copying the ML files to the cards only takes a minute.
