6d moire
 

Ok if you had your chance again would you swap your 6d for the 5d3. Is the moire killing you. Anything else you dislike about the 6d? Cannot make my mind up 6d or 5d3

Eventhough I don't have neither of these camera's from what I have seen my choice would be purely based on budget, if I don't have the cash I"d get a 6d and if I have the cash the 5dIII, I have seen several shots from a 6d containing some real ugly moire that would ruin it for me.

Mmmm maybe your right Noa, sometimes when I look at some of my footage with the 60d I can see on the brides dress sometimes the moiré and I cringe but they don't really notice do they? The 5d will be the one and only upgrade for a while I will tell you... So wish I could make the gh3 work, but the venues are so bloody dark lately.

I think for a indoor shoot the moire is not a problem but I have seen some nasty moire on outside shots, have seen users reporting the moire is even worse then on a 7d, probably for most of your shots you and your client won't notice. It's only in specific cases moire will stick up it's ugly head.

Only if you want to shoot 50p in 720p to slow down your footage you get crap like this, not usable for sure.


I'd say just get the camera and start shooting!

Maybe your right my friend, I rarely shoot like that outside, its all close and inside really, just don't want to make that mistake and waste money for the sake of it. Will still hold out till February or March though, prices may come down and something else may come on the scene, I can manage for now with December weddings. steve

I know what you mean, it's not easy to burn your hard earned money on something you might regret on buying later, I have waisted some money on wrong choices in the past and there is not much you can do about that, once I start getting a headache from all that thinking I just decide and make a purchase.

I have the same issue with my new panasonic gh3 that has replaced my canon 550d. I"m very happy with the camera but some lenses for my sony nex-ea50 don't fit the gh3 and to make things worse I have panasonic lenses that don't fit my nexea50.
