Mosaic VAF for 60D

I am using Canon 60D and shooting video mainly in 1280x720@50p. Would the Mosaic VAF filter help in 720p mode, or is it designed only for 1080p shooting?

It might not be optimized for 720p, but it will still remove many of the unwanted frequencies.
