Anyone got any inside info on Sony’s new cam?

Is it gonna kick the ass of my new gl2?

Some reassuring comments (like "no") would be appreciated. :)

Specs? Write up . . ? Sony flyer? - There is a picture of it . . can't immeadialtey see real difference from VX2000 . . . still has 12x optical zoom . . . some other bits and bobs . . . if you looked at the VX2000 before and wernt XM2 way . . . can't see or itsn't apparent to me just yet , if/how this could have changed your opinion . . .

The VX2100 has 1/3" CCDs with the same video effective CCD pixels as the VX2000's CCDs, but these VX2100 CCDs are supposed to be more sensitive. Also, some of the VX2000's weaknesses have been addressed, or so Sony claims. I also presume that the new VX2100 will be more expensive than the VX2000, making it much more expensive than the GL2. So, if you don't mind paying a lot more for a GL2 killer, then maybe you won't mind paying a lot more for a VX2100 killer? :)

The starting price for the VX2100 is supposed to be $2999 just like the VX2000 now, so it will certainly knock the VX2000 down in price to be more of a competitor for people looking for a newer/used GL2 or VX2000.

I'm starting a campaign for us PALLIEs to come out of the shadow of the GL2s - anyway XM2, sounds more futuristic than GL2 , sound more like a European Economic Forecast . . .. . . .
