soft focus filters for GL2

I am looking for a subtle soft focus filter for my GL2. I am shooting a group of models and wanted to clean up the skin tone and texture, but I don't what the effect to be obvious.

Any suggestions or experiences?

Thanks,

Mark

Hello to a fellow Austinite...to answer your question...I'd do it in post with a plug-in in your NLE...that way you are not "stuck" with any one effect. If you shoot with a filter, you can't un-do it later.

Our editior has tried that and the results are less than satisfactory, can you suggest a method that has worked for you?

I find very to my taste the use of the soft Cokin filters.
I have 3 degrees.. but most of the times I use the lightest one.. 820.
If you donīt like Cokin, then you could try some other better (and more expensive) brand..

But Iīve found that the effect the filter gives to the shot cannot be reproduced (by me) well in post.
At least not with a lot of tweaking and LONG rendering times.

You could also try reducing the Sharpness con the GL2 setup.

I use Vegas 4.0 and have had excellent results with the "glow" filter at ;

http://www.zenote.com

It can be used very effectively to emulate the Tiffen Pro Mist filters.

Hope this helps.
