I'm wanting to know your thoughts people on this for the above amount of money . . .

http://www.teletest.co.uk/productinfo.asp?part=OZP3121

. . . I'm thinking of using it to take my Canon BP945s to power my new 5" LC TFT monitor . . which cost £99.00 !

.. . Anybidy know of a cheaper way of doing this?

Graham,
Teletest is a reputable company, and their LCD monitors are pretty much standard in UK broadcasting video kit, so I'd say: go with it. It seems a very good idea to utilize the Canon batteries.
I might get one myself - good piece of research!

Seems to be the same product that Nebtek sells here in the colonies. (pricing is similar..the nebtek doesn't have the groovy neoprene battery hammock). So as Robin says...I think its a good option.

Yeah Graham, but you can't recharge the car battery in your hotel room overnight, using your handy-dandy CA-920!

That sure seems like an awful lot of money to pay for something so simple! The parts that make it up probably are worth less than £5.00

Onward and upward! I dont mean to suggest you shouldn't do what you propose! That LCD has been added to my wishlist too!
