White balance at night

How to do the white balance for outdoor at night if I want to shoot in a place that doesn’t have a lot of light and if I want to shoot the moon and the sky with GL2?

There is no pat answer on these questions, Alex. Remember that the moon is merely reflecting sunlight. So, all other factors being ignored, a daylight white balance will give a true color to the moon itself. Unfortunately, those "other factors" do come into play. The amount of dust and moisture in the air and the angle of the moon with respect to your viewing position will all affect the moon's apparent color. Ditto the moonlight reflected off of clouds. So it just takes some experimentation to get the color and exposure effects you want.

Try Darking it as you try shooting the moon

ok White balance in the day time is cool and works when you want to shoot the moon. what you thne should try is leave auto focas off and try dark levels on your gl2 it alow the camera to see the moon more clearly at light. and if you do get the moon to come in try not to zoom too much or you will get a blue. you can use auto but not recomended. i use auto focas when i want to get the camera fix on it then i go manul to get close ups.

I hope this answers your problem.
